Hi I’m Steve Durnin, and welcome to my website!

I’m an inventor… well, I guess you could call me a serial inventor. I take problems or challenges and devise ways to solve them – often spending many sleepless nights running different trials through my head, on paper, or on my kitchen table! You see, I have this tenacious need to find a solution – something that is inherent in all serial inventors…

Because the truth is: inventing is easy – we all do it from time to time. We come up with a spark of genius, often with a thought like “why doesn’t someone make one of these?” Those thoughts have tickled the creative genius of inventors throughout the ages… you only have to look at our initial forms of transportation through to our current forms today.

The hardest part though is to transform the initial inventive thought into positive action.

For me personally, it is a problem that just won’t go away! Once the thought has entered my head, it stays there until I do something about it.

The “doing something about it” for me, in the case of Ddrive (my Infinitely Variable Transmission or IVT) was to start me on one of the most exciting journeys of my life…
